Description
EZSCreenCap is a program I wrote in VB.NET that allows you to capture screenshots of your desktop. You can quickly capture full screen images, regions of your desktop, as well capturing images at timed intervals. The captured images can be saved in BMP, JPG, GIF, PNG, and TIFF formats. Its small, easy to use, and best of all, its FREE!
Installing the Program
To install the program, simply double click the .MSI installation package and run the setup. The only requirement to run the program is that the .NET framework needs to be present on the system.
***NOTE: If you get an error like “Application Failed to Initialize Properly”, then you need the .NET Framework installed on your machine (see link above).
Using the Program
Using EZVidCap is simple. Click on “Start Preview” in order to start the video stream from the device. When you wish to capture an image, simply press one of the three options. “Full Screen” captures the entire desktop; “Single Region” displays a new viewfinder window which you can use to find the region you wish to capture; “Timed Interval” is similar to “Single Region”, except it captures an image at every interval that is specified. You can change the save path and filetype of the captured images in the settings.
Once an image is captured, it appears in the image list to the right of the program window. If you right-click one of the captured images, you have the options to open the pic in an external program, or delete the image from your computer.
